Our Mission
The West Hills Middle School community promotes development of self, appreciation of diversity, responsible service, global citizenship and
an enduring passion for learning.
West Hills is located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, a suburb north of Detroit. Our school is situated on a beautiful, wooded 52 acre parcel on Walnut Lake. Student enrollment is about 400 in grades 6-8. There are 32 highly trained and dedicated professionals on staff teaching on middle school teams.
West Hills is an identified National Exemplary School and is fully accredited by the State of Michigan. In addition, West Hills is the only authorized International Baccalaureate middle school in Michigan. We, in partnership with the International Academy, Andover High School and Lone Pine elementary, offer the full continuum of International Baccalaureate programs to our students. The school motto: "Nothing Less Than Your Best" is indicative of the high academic and personal standards to which West Hills is dedicated. Along with a strong emphasis on the development of academic knowledge, skills, technology and personal development, West Hills is proud of its commitment to performing and fine arts. In addition, West Hills offers over 15 different sports and several enriching co-curricular clubs and activities.
